Document the praise of your good work

2

Pen and paperCall some of your best customers and ask them give you quotes or send you a testimonial letter.

Then, add the quotes or letters, to your website and put them in an office binder. Use them everywhere possible. Add them to any outgoing email (in your signature block… have several signature blocks, and rotate them) and in your email newsletters.

When used consistently, testimonials can be one of the most powerful forms of wedding marketing you have.

The words of your clients and customers have significant weight.

And….don’t forget to send them a handwritten Thank You note (not an email) :)

The cost is a phone call. The value is priceless.

  1. Andy, I love this post. I have taken this concept a step further with my website and include a photo of the client along with their quote whenever possible. I also do the same with my in-office portfolio – I have 3 to 4 photos from the wedding on a page, and on the facing page the card or letter from the client. I also mail a “comment card” to the client with their thank you note.

    Heather,

Glad you liked the post. There is something I’ve done with comment cards, thank yous and letters to my clients, on their website, that works particularly well.

Rather than quote a snippet from a letter. I scan the whole letter or card, and then make an icon for it. When one clicks on the icon, up pops a full-page image of the letter or note. It shows that the compliment is REAL, in its original form.
