Wedding Marketing Blog celebrates 1st Anniversary
February 19th marks the beginning of year to for The Wedding Marketing Blog. Posting at a regular clip of once, every three days, it has been quite a wonderful journey so far.
For those of you that have gleaned a few nuggets of new, or reminder, information from the blog, I congratulate you. If you have taken the time to post a comment or tell a friend about WeddingMarketing.biz, I thank you.
What to expect in 2008: I’ve begun doing a lot more speaking, and plan to do even more as the year progresses. This weekend, I’m very excited to be addressing the Professional Wedding Planner’s Conference, in Toronto, Canada. As of a couple of days ago, the conference is sold out.
Last week, I addressed the DJ Think Tank in Las Vegas, NV, just prior to the Mobile Beat Conference, and Convention Services Association – Las Vegas. CSA has asked me to give presentations at two more meetings, this year. That is a very rare invitation, and I’m thrilled to accept it.
Just added to the schedule is an appearance at the Wedding Merchants Business Academy (Wedding MBA), September 22-25, in Phoenix. As well, the Las Vegas Chapter of NACE has asked me to participate in a Wedding Trends panel, in May, and give a presentation on Selling to the 21st Century Bride, in July.
I am mapping out a monthly, morning wedding marketing seminar series in Las Vegas, hosted at Bugsy’s Las Vegas, in their new banquet facility, The Manhattan Ballroom. It will start in April. The first date should be confirmed later this week.
I’m in the process of finalizing a 2-day Wedding Marketing Symposium, in San Francisco, likely to be scheduled in May. Whew… and there are other speaking engagements in the works.
Both the Las Vegas series and San Francisco symposium will be open to the public.
All of this will dovetail with my forthcoming book series, Selling to the 21st Century Bride. It has become a series, because there is simply too much to include in one volume. It will be offered, both in a softcover series, and in digital download form.
Finally, my pet project, Wedding Marketing Podcasts are nearing their start. For those that are more geared toward listening: on your computer, your iPod, or any mp3 player, you’ll enjoy this.
2008 looks like it’s going to be a good year. Please come along for the ride.
