In July 2009, I wrote a post while flying from Las Vegas to Philadelphia for the 50th Anniversary NACE Conference. At that time, I had to wait until I arrived in Philly before I could upload the post.
Today, it’s a whole new world. AirTran has installed in-cabin Wifi throughout its entire fleet. Works like a charm. $12.95 for 24 hours. $49.95 for one month (good for frequent flyers).
Yesterday, was a brutally long and hectic day, in advance of my East Coast trip, so the chance to take care of some correspondence and other clerical loose ends, while flying is outstanding.
This is the first time I’m using my 13″ MacBook Pro on a flight. Happily, I’m able to open it, see the screen, and use the keyboard in the limited space of an airline tray table. That is something I could not do with my 15″ MacBook Pro. What a convenience.
Did I mention the 5-hour battery life? If I choose to, I can work, and be online, for the entire flight.
Yet another advancement in the world of marketing and technology.
