WMBA Audience Members FLIP over Ebon's Testimonial Advice

Andy Ebon’s first presentation at Wedding MBA, this year, offered a variety of reminders and fresh high-tech resources for wedding industry businesses.

Judging by the buzz, throughout the day, one item that caught attention was the idea of Video Testimonials. Andy suggested buying a FLIP TV video camera and using it often. It was something he had posted about, a few months ago, but it really registered with the audience.

Yes, many camera phones have video capability, but sometimes, a one-trick pony is the right thing.

Jodi Harris, CEO of Fun (Sight’n'Sound Events) purchased a FLIP TV right away. Within a couple of weeks, she had logged about a dozen testimonials from happy clients.

Equally important, they sometimes praised the venue as well as the entertainment. In fact, one prospective client hired Sight’n'Sound based both on viewing testimonials AND noticing that one of them was shot at her upcoming reception site.

Jodi utilized tutorials on YouTube to master using the Flip and doing quick-cut edits, to remove unneeded footage.

I like the quotation:

Anything Worth Doing Is Worth Doing Poorly At First

But with the Flip TV, the learning curve is quite short. Jodi is just one of several wedding professionals who have jumped on this tip. Will you be next?

Enjoy these two testimonials: The newlyweds and the groom’s parents.

  1. John Parker says:

I’m not so sure my clients would want to have a camera in their face from a vendor then have that video be shown on my website – agreed it’s a potentially powerful idea, but not so sure it will work with every demographic of client…

would love to hear other’s thoughts…

    cheers, john
