The Power of a Properly Styled, Killer Photograph
Some businesses have an advantage in their marketing. A great photo can tell their story, beautifully, without a single word of copy.
Bakers, Decor Companies, Floral Designers, Photographers, Caterers are just some of these. Other categories of businesses, such as Wedding Consultants and Disc Jockeys have a more challenging time.
One of the mistakes people make is assuming that just any photographer can shoot do food photographs, for instance. There is more involved than simply getting a close-up shot of a plate presentation.
Great photography, for wedding marketing purposes, requires thoughtful set-up, styling, and lighting, to create a striking representation.
This photograph is from one of my recent business connection, Panacea Event Floral Design, in San Luis Obispo. The photo, shot by Mike Larson, is sheer brilliance.
This photo was from an event shoot at River Oaks with event collaborators, Panacea Event Floral Design, Kramer Entertainment, Inc. , Catering Unlimited, and Mike Larson Photographers.
This single photo stopped me in my tracks.
So I ask: Do you document your work? If you answered “Yes”, that’s good.
But if you really give your event and marketing photography some planning, thought, and execution, it will leap off the screen or the page.
Seeing is believing!
