Cheryl Roeske Harpist & Blogger

Cheryl Roeske Harpist & Blogger

One of the exciting aspects of giving presentations and seminars at industry conferences, such as Wedding MBA is hearing back from people who have taken action, as a result of what they have learned from you.

Usually, that comes months later, or sometimes the following year, at the same conference. This evening, I heard from Cheryl Roeske, a harpist from Washington, D.C.. I had suggested that everyone should have a blog, and that it would be helpful to read blogs for a while, and take some to write one’s one, before going blog.

Happily, Cheryl ignored steps two and three. She was so pumped up, that her blog has now gone public, as part of punch list of marketing tasks she brought home from various sessions at the conference. Her first post, Planning Your Ceremony Music begins is her first blog post in October.

It’s just the first post. The blog is not fully formed, but hey! Cheryl took solid, definitive action.

Here’s an excerpt of what Cheryl wrote me.

“The (Wedding MBA) conference totally motivated me to market my business better, since coming back I have contacted a videographer about video clips, registered a new domain name “HarptoHeart.biz” wondering if it might be catchier and more emotional than DCharpist.com, started a blog, signed up with Kate Aspen shops and your wedding marketing blog too!

Rewording my website, the ad on weddingwire.com and creating postcards for direct mail are on my list too.”

Congratulations Cheryl… May you have many marvelous posts that help your clients.

Please visit Cheryl’s blog, write a comment, giving her a thumbs up. :)
